Restoring the microbiome
The largest organ in your body is your skin. What goes on outside is equally important as what happens inside. Your good health and your skin’s health are inexorably linked.
On a practical level, we know that! Just eat or drink from something you know you shouldn’t and your skin shows up the next day and screams at you like some kind of deranged witch with a pimple for the middle of your forehead!
Good, healthy skin is home to a vast number of microbes named collectively, the skin microbiome. Scientists tell us to think of this in the same way as gut health.
One routine you should not skip
Clean off that make up or pay later!
With the holiday rush steam-rolling us down, it’s easy to forget to clean off the day’s grime properly.
One of the ways to keep focused is to indulge in a good quality cleanser, one best suited for your skin type and there is a veritable cornucopia to pick from. Indulgent creams, frothy washes, even crystal liquids in pretty bottles. But take care not to use ordinary cleansers anywhere near your eyelash extensions.
There is a lot of disinformation floating out there on the web. Trends like micellar water which is popular right now are safe to use with extensions, but NOT ALL!
